The CHT dedicated the gravestones for the first
Hunley crew on the
anniversary of their sinking.

The five new stones for the 1st crew, and the memorial stone to the 2nd
crew & Capt. Hunley.
The remains of the first crew were
found under the Citadel stadium in 1999, and were reintered in Magnolia
Cemetery on March 25, 2000, following a procession from the Battery. See
