7:00 pm Magnolia Cemetery The CHT dedicated the gravestones for the first
Hunley crew on the anniversary of their sinking – August 29, 1863.

The five new stones for the 1st crew, and the memorial stone to the 2nd
crew & Capt. Hunley.
The remains of the first crew were
found under the Citadel stadium in 1999, and were reintered in Magnolia
Cemetery on March 25, 2000, following a procession from the Battery. See
